The Law amends item 11 of clause 32 of the Code of Criminal Proceedings of Ukraine, supplementing the register of individuals considered as ‘close relatives´ to provide equal interpretation and use of the term ‘close relatives´ at all stages of the criminal jurisdiction, and support equality of procedural rights of the spouses.
Under the Law, ‘close relatives´ are parents, wife, husband, children, siblings, grandfather, grandmother and grandchildren.
